Who are we?
We are a team of two from Brighton in the UK, currently on a bit of a world tour. Not in a rock band kind of way, but last year we quit our jobs and started out on some long awaited world exploration. Back in the UK, Mark had a music studio, which is where our relaxation and motivational music was created. Katie is the one who will mostly write the blogs and tweet and she is the one who is constantly on the look out for things to make her feel good and inspired (can't lie - going travelling is high on that list!), which is partly where the idea for this site came from. We had a crazy 6 months of high paced travel and now we aim to do mainly slow travel, immersing ourselves in places and living like locals for a little while. We are currently in South East Asia.
What are we about?
We all want to feel good, feel motivated and feel inspired. Unfortunately, the duties and the mundanity of everyday life can so easily get in the way and we get tired, stressed, unispired and even angry. Some people naturally have an upbeat, glass is half full disposition. They see the best in the world, in people and in their situation.
But for the rest of us, we'd like to have a permanently cheerful disposition but it just doesn't come naturally. That's okay. It can take a bit of effort to find a spark when life is throwing constant challenges at you. We all also accumulated years of (anti feel good) bad habits.
So it takes a little effort but it doesn't have to be extreme (and it's so worth it). Even if it's spending just 10 minutes a day reading a thought-provoking blog or looking at pictures of things you love/aspire to have on pinterest.com or in books, listening to relaxing music or reading motivating tweets. There are lots of little things you can do to improve your wellbeing and invigorate your mind. Then there's the bigger, braver things which take a little bit more encouragement. We want to find things that we hope will help, encourage and inspire.

What we have to offer at the moment...
The Feel Good blog is pretty new and we're kind of finding our way with it at the moment. We hope to provide some inspiration and insights, as well as just musings and finding interesting things to talk about. We'd like to inspire creativity and to get people to try new things and look at the world from a different perspective.
Relaxation & motivational music products
With optional Positive Affirmations (Subliminal or Audible) & Binaural Beats
The original, instrumental music (by Manawa Music), along with the specialist techniques (audible/subliminal affirmations and binaural beats), has been designed to have a positive impact on your life, when either relaxing, calming your child, working out, or gearing up for the day.
Both relaxation and exercise/working out are key factors in your health and happiness, but both these things can be difficult to maintain with todays busy lives and schedules. We have created music that will help in both these areas and can have a positive effect on your quality of life.
The relaxation music
can be used for relieving stress after a hectic day, for meditation, to help sleep or just as calming background music. If using the affirmations, this is also sending your brain positive messages to aid self belief and build your self esteem. The children's relaxation music
can relax and calm your child or baby and if using the affirmations, will also send powerful messages to these young minds, about being loved, secure and encouraged to do and be anything that they dream of.
A session at the gym or a run can be enhanced by listening to the motivation exercise/workout music
. The affirmations here send messages that everything is achievable and that you 'can do it'. The messages and the uplifting music can be equally useful when gearing up for a big event in your professional or personal life, helping you get in the right head space, be confident and ready for anything.
The power of music
Music, as we have probable all experienced, can be incredibly powerful in stirring up our emotions - both good and bad. Something as simple as hearing a song you loved as a teenager can take you physically back to a moment in your past, evoking your emotions as if you were right back there. Certain smells can work in the same way, suntan lotion, freshly baked bread or a freshly bathed baby, for instance. Our senses are pretty powerful thing if you think about it. We often pick music to boost our moods and cheer us up or in contrast to help us wind down or chill us out, so it makes sense to take this to another level and listen to music designed to enhance our moods.
Optional extra techniques
The relaxation and motivational music has been written to effect your mood in a positive way, either slowing your mind and body's pace down to a relaxed state or motivating you, building endurance and going that extra bit further/harder when working out or running.
The music alone will work on these levels but we've also added some extra options that can help even further. There is more detailed information on the Positive Affirmations, Subliminal Affirmations or Binaural Beats
pages about these techniques, but in general terms this is adding positive affirmations and/or frequencies to the music.
Both the Subliminal Positive Affirmations and Binaural Beats cannot be heard, so are great if you want to listen to the music around other people. The affirmations on each track are related to the album but are also designed for your general well being, sending your mind strong, encouraging, positive messages.
All the tracks can be downloaded easily and with each purchase you also get the full list of affirmations to download. Reading these from time to time will also give you an added boost and will allow you to see the kind of positive messages that you should be sending yourself. Reading the affirmations from the children's album can be a fun, encouraging activity to partake with your child/children at bedtime or during a quiet time. These printable affirmations are designed to be attractive and imaginative, with colourful illustrations to match the various themes.
